Women’s Resource Centre
WRC is the largest national umbrella organisation for the women’s sector, working towards linking all aspects of the women’s movement. They have more than 500 members whom they support to be more effective and sustainable through training, and through lobbying the government on their behalf on a range of women’s issues.
Overall, WRC is working towards transformational and substantive equality for women. They achieve this through being a thought leader in the women’s sector, joining-up-the-dots of women’s inequality to push for empowerment its true sense: supporting women and women’s organisations to achieve their full potential.
WRC’s role within the consortium
WRC acts as the administrator of the consortium, to coordinate and service all consortium meetings and ensure that all partners maintain consistency and adherence to the values and principles and ensure that agreed processes across the consortium are maintained, to co-ordinate and service lead partner meetings, to support development of future plans for development of consortium, and to act as a point of contact for all general inquiries.
Lead of the second tier project, Support services to organisations, which is made up of six organisations and works to address the long term sustainability needs of organisations providing services to those affected by sexual and domestic violence.
