Domestic and Sexual Violence Helplines

Aims of the project

This project delivers specialist, integrated helpline services for all survivors of domestic and sexual violence throughout London providing immediate practical and emotional support as well as signposting to other support services.

This project will monitor and report on access to refuge services to support the future development of provision in London.

The National Domestic Violence Helpline (NDVHL) is a 24 hour Freephone run in partnership between Women’s Aid and Refuge, that provides emotional and practical support to women and children experiencing domestic violence.

The Women and Girls Network Sexual Violence Helpline provides counselling and support for women and girls who have experienced gender based violence.

The Rape and Sexual Abuse Support Centre provides a telephone support and information service to female survivors of sexual violence, including rape, childhood sexual abuse and ritual abuse and those supporting them.

Respect provides support to men experiencing domestic violence (in heterosexual or same-sex relationships) by phone and email.
