Job title: Fundraising and Social Media Intern

Hours: 14-21 hours per week

Salary: £17, 745 pro rata (£10,646 for 21 hours per week)

Job description:

These are harsh economic times and domestic violence is increasing. Yet at the same time the resources available to support the most disadvantaged in our communities is shrinking. The challenge we face is sustaining our services and growing them to meet the increasing demand we face in the absence of stable or statutory funding.

If you are passionate about social justice, are innovative, have excellent communication skills and the ability to persuade, we want to hear from you. We would like to offer you the opportunity of a

Fundraising & Social Media Internship for a minimum of a year. In this time you will have the opportunity to learn more about domestic violence, about fundraising, about awareness raising, and

about the voluntary sector. You will leave with some of the most sought after experience in this sector. We only ask that you have as minimum, a good degree.

Your job will be to research appropriate funding streams and secure new funding for the organisation; to ensure grants are reported on; and to support the charity in maintaining a current and responsive website and social media output. Support and guidance will be provided.

This internship will pay the London Living Wage of £9.75 per hour, on a part time week of 21 hours (or 14 hours if more suited to the candidate’s other commitments). The position is also open only to female candidates. The start date will be October/November.
